How do I calculate cartons per pallet?
Calculate how many cartons fit on the pallet floor in both possible orientations, use the larger result, then multiply it by the number of layers that fit within your maximum load height.
How many pallets fit in a 20ft container?
It depends on your pallet footprint and container constraints. This calculator estimates floor positions using the pallet length and width you enter. Confirm the final plan with your forwarder because door clearance, load limits, and loading rules can change the result.
Does pallet height affect freight cost?
Yes. Pallet height changes the shipment CBM and may affect LCL, air, warehouse, and vehicle capacity. Use the actual loaded pallet height, including the pallet base, when comparing quotes.
Can I use this calculator for mixed carton sizes?
This version plans one carton size at a time. For mixed carton sizes, calculate each carton type separately, or use the Container Loading Calculator to review a single-carton loading plan.
